How It All Began
In 2002, a young couple embarked upon a 3 month canoe holiday in Northern Ontario. Leaving most of the comforts of home behind, they explored some of the most remote and beautiful areas of Ontario and Quebec. Never ones to go without good food, they brought along a small supply of good cheese, and some homemade red pepper jelly. Somewhere along the banks of the majestic Moose River, they stopped for a quick rest and a snack. It was a perfect marriage – delightful food, rustic beauty and the experience of Canadian tradition. And thus, the desire to somehow put that into a bottle and share it with the world (or at least, southern Ontario). We believe in using fresh, local ingredients, and choose organic whenever possible. All of our products are made in small batches, in our fully inspected facility.
